I think love, when it comes to creating things with your hands, means pulling things apart and putting them back together. It means going with your gut to places where you’re not sure of the outcome. It means attacking a project with abandon, and then squinting a little to envision where you’re going next.

I cannot overstate how much a generous spirit contributes to good luck. Look at the luckiest people around you, the ones you envy, the ones who seem to have destiny falling habitually into their laps. What are they doing that singles them out?
